Hi, Diana, as I told you in my email today, my Dad died on Jan. 21, 2010. He fought a tough fight with Alzheimer’s. I am blessed to have had him for 82 1/2 years! I still have my Mother. I am asking for prayers for my family. I have 2 sisters, 3 nieces, 2 sons, and my Mother. Maybe it’s the female hormone thing, but we all pulled together during his death and the funeral, and now it seems we are at each others throats. I am ashamed to admit that, but I don’t know any other way to put it. My sons, of course being males, don’t have the hormone thing, so they are ok. It’s the females. Right now, not only I have lost my Dad, but I also feel I have lost my entire family. Mother is grieving, sisters are arguing and saying mean things. We desperately need as many prayers as we can get for healing for my family. My youngest sister has moved back home with my Mother and even though she is the baby, she is being the Ruler of the Roost and it makes life miserable. I don’t feel like going to visit my Mother because I don’t want to deal with my sister. It’s very sad. Please everyone pray for my family. Blessings to all. Beverly Cheek

Beverly, I recommend this book. Healing Grief by James Van Praagh (2000) Try Used book stores. It’s any easy read and I feel might help you. Pass it on to your sisters. It may help to realize that you are all showing your grief in different ways. I’ve been where you are with the loss of my dad years ago. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Yes, Beverly, our prayers are with you and your family. Here are some encouraging and uplifting words that I love.

“The Lord bless you and keep you–the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” Numb. 6:24-26

Asking for prayers for Emma. She suffered a heart attack on 2/15/10. She is asking for heart healing and adjustments to a new beginning without fear for the many life changes that she will now be facing. For all those with heart dis-ease.. may their heart accept love. Thank you Elaine
